Here we have a selection of images of an STR that made the long journey back to us from Southern Germany for its first service over the winter months.
This car originally left our workshop at the end of 2022 and after going through TUV testing & registration it hit the roads of Bavaria in spring 2023. The customer subsequently ran the car over the summer & autumn before garaging it for the winter months.
Despite the distance & logistics the owner therefore made the sage decision to bring the car back to us for its first service after his first summer of motoring.
As well as the obvious first service it also allowed us the opportunity to check the car over, make a few adjustments and to then introduce a few updated components to further enhance the car.
The car runs with the 3.5litre 2GR V6 from the Lotus Evora so that it can meet EU6 emissions, the transmission is also provided by the Lotus. Engine management is provided by the SCS Delta 900 ECU. As can be seen from the pictures the exhaust is a bit more complicated that normal so that it can meet that EU6 standard but it terminates in our familiar twin silencer system.
Suspension is as always from our bespoke wishbones with billet alloy uprights, braking is provided by our proven braking set up 4 pot calipers with ventilated discs both front and rear. Damping is provided by Nitron Suspension and the car rides on billet wheels with Toyo R888r tyres. The body is finished in RAL3002 Carmine red polished gelcoat with matching spoilers.
