Fabricator & Welder

As part of ongoing growth & expansion we are looking for an experienced fabricator & welder to take over the production of our Lister Bell STR chassis.

The chassis’ are constructed from a combination of preformed laser cut sections, prebent roll cage structure & tubular steels sections. The tubular sections need to be cut from stock & shaped to fit in to the chassis jig. The candidate therefore needs experience of using cutting and grinding equipment along with occasional use of a lathe & sheet metal folder. The chassis is predominantly MIG welded but some parts are TIG welded during preassembly so the candidate needs to have experience in both aspects of welding.

Whilst the integrity of the chassis is the primary concern the presentation is very important as the chassis is a focal point of the product we sell.

The candidate must be dedicated, self motivated and have the ability to work under their own initiative. Ideally we would like the candidate to join us for a probationary period of one month during which time training will be given where required, If successful after this period then we would like the candidate to work on a contract basis. Rates of pay are negotiable dependent on ability & experience.

Ideally the candidate will be located within a catchment area that lies between the points of Nottingham, Newark & Grantham.
