A little flashback to the week before last when the 3rd of our builds for Japan passed its UK IVA test at the first time of asking.
All three cars are powered by fully rebuilt and balanced 3.0 Busso V6’s from Alfa GTV donors and these are mated to the 6 speed transmissions from the Alfa 166. The cars are all built in LHD format with a Stradale type interiors. The body in this case is in GP4 round arch format with an Alitalia inspired livery. For the purpose of the IVA the car is only carrying the basic stripes but now it has passed the test we can continue to add the remaining stickers and the all important quad lamp pod. As always the spec of these cars is high with such features as billet alloy uprights, 4 pot brakes, bespoke driveshafts, billet centre wheels, bespoke billet rack, Quaife ATB diff, full stainless exhaust, AC etc etc
Its now also time for a few shakedown miles so that we can bed everything in and also to fine tune the roads manners and handling.
We will post more pics once the final look of this and its square arch sister car is realised.
