Background
Full timeline of build history documented on the Stratos Enthusiasts Club (SEC) Website (you will need to pay a small fee to join and have full access)
Built over 3 years to a very high standard and specification by myself with factory support, this included body fit, pre IVA inspection and set up the of the suspension geometry. Successfully passed the rigorous government IVA test in August 2021 and correctly registered on 1st October 2021 as a ListerBell STR.
As a retirement present to myself I wanted to build a car that was, as far as possible no expense spared but with a compromise between full Group 4 rally experience and creating a car my wife would be happy to do long distance tours in. (Happy wife = Happy Life!)
The Car
STR 410S is well known to the Stratos Enthusiasts Club, being present at many events and tours including several North Yorkshire and Lake District weekend road trips. We were privileged to be part of the opening parade at the fantastic 2025 Laon Historique festival in France where Lancia was the marque of honour that year.
The car was also featured in the 2022 Footman James Chateau Impney video titled “Our Kind of Hybrid”
STR 410S proudly formed part of the Stratos Enthusiasts Club display at the 2025 NEC Classic Car show.

Unique experience. All the theatre of noise & acceleration on full throttle, yet totally tractable with creature comforts making it perfect for distance touring when cruising.
Open the garage, The car looks amazing with its simplistic white and black colour scheme perfectly showcasing those glorious bodywork contours. You’re already starting to smile with anticipation as you open the sleek car door, admiring that unique window shape. Slide into those comfortable and supportive Group 4 seats, check the feet positioning on the Wilwood pedal box, buckle up the Sabelts. Anticipation building you turn the ignition and let the bosch fuel pump prime, turn the key again and the engine fires, those 6 throttle bodies settling into a nice burbling idle, oil pressure fine, ease out the garage and head for your favourite B road. Everything warmed to operating temperature you start to exploit that powerful yet tractable engine& gearbox set up (where circumstances permit). The curved windscreen allows a clear view of the flowing road ahead. The handling immediately impresses, the confidence inspiring suspension geometry, the razor-sharp turn in, the unassisted LB rack providing perfect feel, weighting and feedback as you make progress. A satisfying grin emerges as you apply pressure to the unservoed bias adjustable Wilwood pedal box distributing braking to those large 4 piston calipers which in turn grip the vented discs, drop down a gearand accelerate away the revs climb quickly the induction noise is like an orchestra playing right behind you, you’re grinning like a Cheshire cat as you pull the next gear and the road flows.
Enough now says the wife, so as you pull out onto the bypass you short shift and switch the aircon on and cruise home at 2500 rpm happily discussing the weather!
Admired and complimented wherever we go, plenty of attention on the open roads as well.
A truly immersive experience at a fraction of the cost of an original
